For many of us, life can feel like it's moving too fast with pressure bearing down on us from all sides - whether that's from school or work, family or social media。 As a result, we find ourselves frazzled, lost and - too often - feeling blue。

It's a subject close to Fearne's heart。 Drawing on her own experiences and including expert advice, HAPPY offers practical ways of finding joy each and every day。 Happiness isn't a mountain to climb, it's just one foot in front of the other on the path of life, and here you'll find little steps that will help make the differences that count。 With workbook elements to help you start and end the day well; get in touch with your creative side; and find peace through written exercises, simple practical ideas and visualisations, these are daily tricks and reminders to help you unlock that inner happiness。

Happy is a lovely book and full of positivity。 Fearne makes it feel like you are chatting to a friend about being positive and happy in life。 However, the reason for less stars is I found I did not take anything from this book and the book stated the obvious things to keep your mind healthy。 When I'm reading a book like this I'm looking for some kind of powerful inspiration that makes me feel wow。 Happy is a lovely book and full of positivity。 Fearne makes it feel like you are chatting to a friend about being positive and happy in life。 However, the reason for less stars is I found I did not take anything from this book and the book stated the obvious things to keep your mind healthy。 When I'm reading a book like this I'm looking for some kind of powerful inspiration that makes me feel wow。 。。。more

I agree with other people who say that this is a difficult book to rate and review。 I love Fearne Cotton and her “Happy Place” universe however, this book didn’t inspire me in the same way that other things that she has done have。 It isn’t a bad book it just didn’t really say anything new or groundbreaking。 Furthermore, the advice, although not bad, is on the basic side。 I didn’t do the interactive activities but see how for someone who wanted to improve their mental outlook in an autonomous way I agree with other people who say that this is a difficult book to rate and review。 I love Fearne Cotton and her “Happy Place” universe however, this book didn’t inspire me in the same way that other things that she has done have。 It isn’t a bad book it just didn’t really say anything new or groundbreaking。 Furthermore, the advice, although not bad, is on the basic side。 I didn’t do the interactive activities but see how for someone who wanted to improve their mental outlook in an autonomous way they could be useful。 I would say that this book is for people who are slightly unhappy or who want to make positive changes to their mental health not someone who is the grips of a problem as I don’t think it’s “hard core” enough for that。 This book is a good introduction for people beginning their mental health journey but for someone who has already explored a lot in this area I found it lacking in insight。 This won’t put me off reading subsequent books that Cotton has written。 Maybe as I am used to the standard that she is at now, after being in this world for several years, her first foray into this area isn’t as good which is of course understandable。 I think she is a great person and is doing fantastic work in this field so I feel bad knocking the book I just know that I’ve seen better from her。 。。。more

I love the cover and the illustrations within this book。 They live up to the title Happy, putting a smile on my face straight away。 This is the second Fearne Cotton book I’ve read now and I still love her writing。 It’s authentic without pushing on you what she’s trying to get across。 I liked the little check-ins throughout the book, making me think about what mood I was in at that point。 I found that at one point, I ended up picking the book up after a down moment to help pick my mood up。 Althou I love the cover and the illustrations within this book。 They live up to the title Happy, putting a smile on my face straight away。 This is the second Fearne Cotton book I’ve read now and I still love her writing。 It’s authentic without pushing on you what she’s trying to get across。 I liked the little check-ins throughout the book, making me think about what mood I was in at that point。 I found that at one point, I ended up picking the book up after a down moment to help pick my mood up。 Although I didn’t do all the tasks within the book。 I feel they are ones you could pick up at any time in whichever section you want in order to complete a happiness task。 Now that I have read it all the way through, I think it would be one that I could pick up for a lift in mood opening it up at any chapter of the book without having to start from the beginning。 。。。more

Meh。 This book is fine。 I don't really know what I was expecting but I feel disappointed。 It's full of clichés and wishy washy 'advice'。 It seems very surface level and I expected more having listened to the Happy Place podcast for quite a few years。 Meh。 This book is fine。 I don't really know what I was expecting but I feel disappointed。 It's full of clichés and wishy washy 'advice'。 It seems very surface level and I expected more having listened to the Happy Place podcast for quite a few years。 。。。more

I’m not sure how I feel about this book upon finishing it。 I think it’s definitely more of a thinker than a lot of the books I’ve read recently so hopefully things will sink in a little better over the next few days。 I do like there was some activities to complete within this book which I will definitely go back to later on。

I'm not really sure what to say! I like Fearne but this book isn't what I was expecting really at all。 One thing, I borrowed it from the Library in Audio version。 The audiobook comes with a PDF companion which did not come with the library version。 So I felt I couldn't be fully with it for over half of it。 Also, i'm here for a book, not activities or constant back and forth。 The reflction rainbow I just ended up annoyed with it。 I'm just not this type of person that drawing or writing down etc d I'm not really sure what to say! I was excited to read this book and then I read a third of it, got bored and finished the rest a year and a half later。 this book does have some good advice in it and shares personal experiences on how to deal with depression and anxiety but some of the exercises would cut the middle of a sentence。 the way this book was structured was poor。 I had to keep going back and forth to remember what she wrote last。

Some bits of this I loved, others I found quite obvious and some I couldn't relate to at all。 But I'll keep the bits I loved and let the others go! This book was literally a joy to read。 I can see why this was the first one that Fearne brought out。 I felt compared to Calm this was a lot more relatable perhaps that's because I am more Happy than calm in my day to day life。Over all its a good read with a lot of points that I will refer back to over time when I need them。 and I am glad it helped me get to a happier place generally and also to complete my 2021 reading challenge。 This book was literally a joy to read。 I can see why this was the first one that Fearne brought out。 I felt compared to Calm this was a lot more relatable perhaps that's because I am more Happy than calm in my day to day life。Over all its a good read with a lot of points that I will refer back to over time when I need them。 and I am glad it helped me get to a happier place generally and also to complete my 2021 reading challenge。 。。。more

This book was a present and I would never expect I would like such type of literature but I actually did。 I don't think it's possible to read this book in one sitting, like any other, rather it's a type of book to which you come back from time to time to reflect and learn something new。 I am still getting used to it but I'm surely enjoying the little psychological and reflective exercises the author suggests and I think it is definitely a good tool to maintain your mental health even if you norm This book was a present and I would never expect I would like such type of literature but I actually did。 I don't think it's possible to read this book in one sitting, like any other, rather it's a type of book to which you come back from time to time to reflect and learn something new。 I am still getting used to it but I'm surely enjoying the little psychological and reflective exercises the author suggests and I think it is definitely a good tool to maintain your mental health even if you normally don't read anything like this。 。。。more

wasnt the most amazing thing i’ve read, wouldn’t say it’s life changing but it’s a nice easy read, calm and happy vibes also the cover is very pretty, it’s a nice reminder to keep those good vibes and not put too much pressure on yourself to be happy 100% of the time。 would recommend but probably wouldn’t read again

I got this book from a telephone box library and its definitely a cover that makes you want to read it, its so pretty and does exactly what it says, makes you Happy! Some things in this book were quite helpful, little techniques and tips to remain calm and happy in everyday life or when things are getting hard, however I found it quite repetitive and could have been alot shorter than it was, seemed to be the same thing over and over。Also it gave the impression that everything can be thought away I got this book from a telephone box library and its definitely a cover that makes you want to read it, its so pretty and does exactly what it says, makes you Happy! Some things in this book were quite helpful, little techniques and tips to remain calm and happy in everyday life or when things are getting hard, however I found it quite repetitive and could have been alot shorter than it was, seemed to be the same thing over and over。Also it gave the impression that everything can be thought away and made into something happy if you tried hard enough, but real life doesn't work that way sometimes。It was a quick, easy read and some techniques I will be using, but overall was just an ok read。 。。。more

This was an okay book。 However I felt it was a let down as an audiobook which affected my overall impression。 I loved hearing Fearne read her own words but I found the audiobook referred waaaay too much to the ‘accompanied PDF’ which you wouldn’t have if you were listening to it on loan from the library like me! Fearne has been one of my favourite celebrities and role models for nearly two decades now, with her down to earth demeanor and passion for art and ethics, and so I was looking forward to reading her first book on mindfulness and mental health。Fearne opens up honestly and articulately about her battles with depression and low self-esteem, and offers advice in an artful manner on how others can follow her ways to help deal with depression and anxiety and ultimately think more positively。The book Fearne has been one of my favourite celebrities and role models for nearly two decades now, with her down to earth demeanor and passion for art and ethics, and so I was looking forward to reading her first book on mindfulness and mental health。Fearne opens up honestly and articulately about her battles with depression and low self-esteem, and offers advice in an artful manner on how others can follow her ways to help deal with depression and anxiety and ultimately think more positively。The book demonstrates Fearne's creativity, being split into different Happy themed chapters and the text livened up by mindful art activities and her quirky, intricate illustrations。I was also pleasantly surprised by the testimonials from other favourite celebrities and their mental health struggles, including Tom Fletcher from Mcfly。I'm not sure if it will offer anything majorly original to anyone suffering from anxiety, such as myself, other than what we know already, but it is a nice read all the same, and refreshing to read the reality of how Fearne really felt at the time under her bubbly, party girl persona from fifteen years ago, making her all the more a great and relatable role model。 。。。more
